PreferRent setup guide

 

PreferRent, the free edition of rental management software, needs to be configured before you start using it for your operations. Please enter the required information in the configuration screens listed below:
 

1. SY.10.100 Company information. Add or change information about your company here.
2. SY.10.200 Users list. Add or change list of PreferRent4Free system users.
3. SY.10.300 User group list. Assign PreferRent4Free users to groups and roles.
4. SY.70.110 SMTP configuration. Setup up SMTP server to handle notifications and reminders coming from PreferRent4Free.
5. SY.70.100 Configuration. Setup PreferRent4Free folder, where attachments for contracts, quotations and invoices will be stored.
6. DI.30.300 Currency list. Add your currencies and exchange rates.
7. DI.30.450 State list. Create states (regions) of your country. 
8. DI.30.500 ZIP code list. Define postal codes used in your company.
9. DI.20.400 Tax group list. Create sales tax and sales tax groups. Sales taxes are used for the calculation of rent payment as well as sales price.


Please also fill in the following main screens:
1. DI.40.100 Customers / Vendors. Register your customers/ vendors. Create also customer's contact persons, authorizations, objects (projects) and contracts.
2. DI.10.100 Warehouse list. Set up your warehouses.
3. DI.20.100 Product list. Create products.
4. WA.10.100 Receipt orders. Make sure you receive products into the warehouses.


Now you can start using the business features of PreferRent4Free, e.g.

  • Delivery to a customer -> Return from a customer -> Customer invoicing
  • Rental reservation -> Delivery to a customer -> Return from a customer -> Customer invoicing
  • Product sale -> Invoicing
  • Rent product from a vendor -> Delivery to a customer -> Return from a customer -> Customer invoicing -> Vendor invoicing
  • Delivery to a customer -> Return from a customer -> Defected product processing -> Invoicing
